Welcome back to the blog! It has been a little while, but I hope you're all doing well and taking good care of yourselves. And happy spring! The weather has been nice lately and nothing makes me happier than sunny days, breezy weather, flowers blooming and just good vibes all around. With it officially being spring, I wanted to write a short and sweet blog post all about ways to romanticize your life this spring. If you want to learn more about the idea of romanticizing your life, I wrote a blog post all about it! I am huge on romanticizing my life and creating intentional moments of joy for myself, and it's such an impactful form of self-care. So, read below for a few ideas for romanticizing your life this spring!

1. Create a morning routine
Routines have been a significant part of my life ever since I started college. Specifically, a morning routine has helped me start the day in an organized and stress-free way. While routines can feel rigid in many cases, I think they can be really enjoyable if you embed practices in them that make you feel good. For instance, while I'm doing my makeup in the morning, I love watching a comfort creator on YouTube! Also, a staple part of my morning routine is making my absolute favorite yogurt bowl for breakfast which I eat every single morning. Yes, I know, but it truly brings me so much joy! Creating a morning routine is a great way to romanticize your life because it can allow you to make the mundane parts of your morning just not so mundane anymore. Even if that means getting up a little earlier in the mornings, it's so worth it, trust me! 2. Go on walks outside
Lately, I've been really leaning into the benefits of going for walks not only for my physical health, but mostly my mental health. I feel like I hear so many people talk about the impact of walks, but I didn't realize how beneficial they could be until I made them a part of my day-to-day. The vitamin D effect is so real, and when the weather is nice, it truly feels so nice to put on some workout clothes and go for a nice 40-45 minute walk outisde. I love to listen to my upbeat playlist, and just take some time to get in some movement. Everytime I go for a walk, I instantly feel my serotonin go up and I feel so much happier. And this practice is especially beneficial for me when I'm feeling lethargic and tired and need to boost my energy.
3. Create an evening routine
I of course needed to put an evening routine in this blog post because I feel like my evening/unwinding routine brings me so much joy since it's so relaxing. My evening routine has not only helped me de-stress, but it has also helped me sleep a lot better. I feel like creating an evening routine is so important for taking good care of ourselves to end the day instead of just rushing and going to sleep. It signals to our brains that it's time to unwind for the day, and relax. What I love to do for my unwinding routine is close my computer and close off all the tabs of work for the day. Then, I take a shower, do my skincare routine, and organize my desk space for the night. Then, I of course, love to watch a comfort creator on YouTube, close off my lights, turn my notifications off, and go to sleep. For me, these series of steps that I follow every single night has brought me so much joy because I know how relaxed I'm going to feel after. 4. Refresh and change up a space in your home
One of my favorite ways to romanticize everyday life is by refreshing the spaces I spend the most time in. I've found that even small changes to our home environment can have a profound impact on our mood, creativity, and overall well-being. The environment we surround ourselves with directly affects our mental state—I'm a firm believer that a cluttered space equals a cluttered mind. When I take time to intentionally refresh my living space, I immediately feel a sense of renewed energy and clarity. One of my favorite ways to refresh my space is getting myself flowers! I love the white roses from Trader Joe's - highly recommend! But seriously, a bouquet can just open up your space and bring some good energy and light into your space.
5. Create a feel-good playlist for the season
My last favorite way to romanticize daily life is through carefully curated playlists that elevate everyday experiences and boost my mood instantly. Music has this incredible ability to shift my emotional state within seconds. It energizes me when I'm feeling sluggish and calms me when I'm overwhelmed. One of the best feelings is going for a walk outside on a nice sunny day and listening to your favorite feel-good music! So, I highly recommend taking the time to compile songs that bring you joy! Lately, I've been listening to Taylor Swift's 1989, of course, because it brings me that optimistic vibe that matches beautiful spring days.
I hope you try some of these practices to romanticize your life daily and find joy in some of them! Take good care of yourselves this week, and I'll catch you in the next blog post!
